Hilton York Hotel, York

My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable, although a bit small with a tiny bathroom. The service was excellent, with the staff being super helpful and attentive. The location was convenient, just on the edge of the city center, but it was a bit noisy. The dining options were tasty but could have offered more variety. I enjoyed the facilities provided by the hotel.

Staying at Premier Inn was a mixed experience. The rooms, though underwhelming for a Hilton property, suited our group of 4 ladies. However, the service was exceptional despite a minor language barrier. The location was fantastic for accessing local attractions, but there were some issues with blocked routes. Dining was enjoyable, offering good choices for both dinner and breakfast.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The rooms were very clean and bright, and we were even pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade, which was amazing. However, the lack of air conditioning made the rooms very hot, and the noisy fans were quite bothersome at night. The beds were okay, but the pillows were like sleeping on marshmallows, lacking any structure which was rather unpleasant. The soundproofing wasn't great either, as we could hear everything until around 3.30 in the morning.
